Express Entry

Canada Express Entry offers a pathway for seeking permanent residence in Canada. The program assesses abilities through Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) based on skills, education level, English and/or French language proficiency, and overall work experience. 

Extra considerations are also awarded such as spousal or common-law partner credentials, valid job offer, provincial or territory nominations, skills transferability, and siblings residing in Canada.  Those scoring highest will have the chance to obtain Canadian residency through this unique process.

Express Entry evaluates the following three federal economic immigration streams:

Mainly for the applicant with foreign work experiences.
 
Must have scored Canadian Language Bench Mark on level 7 for English or French proficiency in Reading, Writing, Listing and Speaking among skilled occupation level in NOC 0, A, B (NOC 2016), or TEER 0, 1, 2, 3 (NOC 2021) .
 
Must have met minimum 67 score on the six selection factors in Language, Education, Work Experience, Age, Arranged Employment in Canada, and Adaptability.
 
Must have sufficient sufficient CRS points in addition to the six selection factors to be considered for receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA).  

This program is for skilled trade with foreign work experience (both domestic and international) who want to immigrate to Canada permanently.

Mainly for the applicant with skilled trade foreign or in Canada work experiences in NOC Major Group 72, 73, 82, 83, 92, 93, Minor Group 6320, and Unit Group 62200.  Excluding Sub-Major Group 726, 932.
 
Must have scored Canadian Language Bench Mark on level 5 for English or French proficiency in Listing and Speaking, and leve 4 in Reading, Writing,  for occupations in NOC B (NOC 2016), or TEER 2 or 3 (NOC 2021).
 

Mainly for the applicant with Canadian work experiences gained in the three years before apply for the occupation skill level ranging from NOC 0, A, B (NOC 2016), or TEER 0, 1, 2, 3 (NOC 2021).

Must have scored Canadian Language Bench Mark on level 7 for English or French proficiency in Reading, Writing, Listing and Speaking for occupations in NOC 0 & A (NOC 2016), or TEER 0 or 1 (NOC 2021).

Must have scored Canadian Language Bench Mark on level 5 for English or French proficiency in Reading, Writing, Listing and Speaking for occupations in NOC B (NOC 2016), or TEER 2 or 3 (NOC 2021).

 

This Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) provides applicants with the benefits of transparency – knowing precisely what CRS score they need to be eligible for an ITA and become a permanent resident in Canada. 

The points scale has a maximum score of 1200 points and evaluates you and your spouse (if any) on your:

  • Age
  • Level of Education
  • Language Skills (English/French)​
  • Work Experiences in Canada​
  • Work Experiences outside Canada
  • Skill Adaptability
